So today I started yoga… Not sure if it’s exactly the best decision, but since I’ve bought a yoga mat and have been wanting to try it ever since, I decided to give it a go. Let me tell you, to all the people who think that yoga isn’t a workout and it’s just silly and stupid, don’t doubt it til you try it! It’s harder than you might think and you actually work out a sweat! With the right video, determination, and an open mind, this might just turn out to be the perfect daily workout!
The video that I chose is the one from Jillian Michaels. You know, the trainer in The Biggest Loser? Yeah.. After using this as the video for my first time, it really shows me the technique and power of yoga. I’m loving this workout. Although I have a long way to go, I know that this is something that I can get use to as a daily exercise. I’m confident that this will bring many benefits to my body and health!
About my first attempt at yoga… Well, it is soo extremely tiring! After about 10 mins, I was already starting to break a sweat. That could be because I’m just really out of shape, but it shows that it’s doing something! As a beginner, it was actually very difficult to do some of the moves and it was difficult to get through the whole video. I am disappointed that I wasn’t able to get through it all, but I know that if I continue this, I will and I’ll feel great about doing so! Anyways, yoga works out your entire body and stretches out a lot of your body parts as well. It feel nice to stretch out your body. I think that I’ll make this into a regular routine and see where it takes me!
